SUPER TEACHER BY DAY
Thank goodness for all you wonderful souls who brave teaching the little ones, it's certainly not my talent. I LOVE working with the "big kids" who may seem like teenage Martians, but trust me when I say it's their secret identity. They don't want you to suspect that they are really GREAT because it blows their cover! I teach 7th grade RLA/History in a public school. We "core" our students so I have 2 blocks with the same kids and 1 group I split with my partner teacher.
We are a diverse district and school. My goal is to always ensure that all my students from RSP, to GATE, to ELD and everyone in between get the most out of the lesson with minimal prep or drastic management. Keeping them busy and engaged is my favorite tool in my tool belt. If they don't have time to slow down, they don't have time to misbehave. So, I try to make my classroom a rigorous and engaging place to learn.

I work on my blogs (yes I have more than one) and TpT business in the evenings around my day job and family. I've also recently completed my master's degree in curriculum and instruction in children's literature while maintaining my day job and TpT store.
On top of that, I am seeking publishing representation on a picturebook title I wrote in the spring and am working on writing my very own fantasy novel! I've always wanted to write, so I thought I would try my hand at it. If all this doesn't certify me as insane, I don't know what will.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Wife and Mother of 2 Amazing Boys. Both children are twice-exceptional (gifted-learning disabled). My experience in raising my two boys has transformed my teaching and thinking. It has enabled me see the incredible value in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of ALL learners and what a difference one person can make in not just the lives of students, but also the families who know them best.
I am also an animal lover. I have a two cats and an Australian Shepherd. While on summer break, we love to travel as a family and hope to see all this amazing planet has to offer.
